I'm not gonna diminish how good it is for the Leafs to have 3 elite stars on the team for years to come. It's great news for them. Leafs are a very good team and you guys should be thrilled Marner finally signed.

But when you think that... let's say the (frank)ing bruins for example, are paying their 3 elite forwards around 20M and the Leafs are paying them over 30M......

Let's just say you guys aren't getting a bargain anywhere and it's bound to hurt at some point to fill other needs.

I hope they fail miserably.

With love of course.

Excited to see the big guns on the revamped PP, mangling teams and breaking their spirit. 🤓

Weakness in defense and average in net.

Very elite upfront. Can the Leafs overcome their weakness? Stay tuned...

For me, Marners deal is an overpayment.

Nylanders will be a bargain and Matthews is just right.

They are all long term...the thinking here is probably to minimize money spent for when Rielly, Andersen gets their deals.

You never ever pay goalies that much.

Half of them drop off out of no where by the time they are 30.

Leafs have to pay more to offset the money that is lost to federal and provincial taxes?

Lmao … most elite the league has to offer. And I thought Kucherov was the best with 129 points or so..... can't wait to see this crash and burn. Next year it all goes south ..

Or to put it in an accurate way, defense improved over last year with more prospects in the pipeline, and elite goaltending.

Meh.

Price is the mother (frank)ing best.

I learned to live with that deal.

But It's obviously no bargain either.

Gibson is the only goalie I’m confident in singing longer than 5 years.

He is the mcdavid of goalies.

Zezel … talk reality much? lmao … gave away a couple of your top prospects to LA for a average defender in Muzzin, pretty sure he's given away 2 first rounders + to get out of bone head contracts and put the organization in cap Hell lol … wow

Agreed, it could cause some issues down the road. But hopefully we'll have 4 impactful players to choose from to trade if need be and get a good return when that time comes.
For now, its cup ir bust this year. No pressure.
